The counter keeps four things.

Whisker Hollow is at 215 E State Street, at the east end of the Ithaca Commons. We sell wool beds, leather leads, slow bowls, and a scissor nail clipper. We do not examine animals, and we do not book grooming.

The leads are sewn for lake clay and for winter salt. The beds are wool because a foam pad holds a damp smell after one wet walk home. If the fold behind a snap is already opening, bring the lead in on a day we are open. Monday the door is locked.

  1. 01 Wool beds Washed wool and a cotton cover, for a cold wall and a dog that comes in damp.
  2. 02 Leather leads Saddle stitch and brass at the fold. The part that fails is not the snap.
  3. 03 Slow bowls Stainless, with ridges a thumb can clean. Not a treatment for anything.
  4. 04 Clippers Scissor style, with a spare blade. We sell the tool. We do not clip the nail.

Cayuga clay packs the pocket just behind the snap and keeps cotton thread damp after the outside of the lead looks dry. The mud note is the rinse, not a sermon.

The door

Walk east on the Commons until the cars are back on State. The name is painted on the window. The Green Street garage is the nearest public parking. We do not validate a ticket.
